Spring in Utah-week 2

Last week the snow was all gone and I could count the daffodils coming up in the front of the house and the tulips coming up in the back yard. They looked a bit thirsty so the snow and rain should make them very happy! Yesterday we went snowshoeing to make good use of the snow. Fun to get out in the snow. Carl is working on redoing his mission scrapbook and childhood/teenage years scrapbook as they were falling apart. He is doing "family history" work, but I won't tell him that! Love, Donna

Spring in Utah

We finished painting the basement just before Dan, Jonna, and Brighton arrived on Mar. 13! That was a lot of ceiling to paint and then all of those walls, but it looks great. When Carl was finishing the base boards he looked up and the deer were watching him through that first window when you walk into the basement. Dan and Jonna have been night skiing several times and are at Park City today so we play with B. We did go cross country skiing last week up by Heber. The snow is gone for today so Carl has been doing some beginning yard work. I planted some tulips last and they are actually coming up!

In-n-Out Utah

A couple of weeks ago we heard on the Utah news that 2 new In-n-Out's will be opening in Utah sometime in the next year. Carl said, "That would be great news for the blog".
Let's see what is going on lately--Last night we went to a BYU basketball game with Mike and the boys. Last week I drove to Idaho to spent a couple of days with Mom. There was no snow in Heyburn or on the drive to Idaho. On that Thurs. we drove to Twin Falls. The wind was about 40 miles per hour driving down and in 2 hours time when we drove back to Heyburn it was a blizzard. Lots of excitment!
Last week all of the snow was gone from the lawn which was amazing. The next day we had a snow storm with about 5 inches of snow, but it always thaws faster now. Kristy had her baby last Sunday (a little boy) and I think he is names Joshua. Yesterday was a family history conference all day. The past 2 or 3 weeks we painted the basement and cleaned the carpets and tile. Hope Brighton likes the colors!
